A Letter From the Founder
I started Connecticut Healing Arts Initiative because I’ve lived the truth of what creative connection can offer in a hospital room. During my own hospitalization, I was invited to participate in the arts– and it gave me something I didn’t know I needed: hope, expression and a way to release emotions when words felt out of reach.
That experience stayed with me. It reminded me that healing isn’t just physical- it’s emotional, spiritual and deeply human. Through music, visual art, and compassionate presence, we now bring that same sense of renewal to others: patients in recovery, caregivers under strain, and those facing isolation.
This work is personal. It’s about dignity, connection and the belief that creativity belongs in every space where healing happens. Thank you for being part of it.
Our Vision
We envision a healthcare environment where creativity is recognized as a vital force of healing, not just for patients, but for everyone who walks through hospital doors. Through music, visual art, and meaningful connection, our programs transform clinical spaces into places of emotional renewal and shared humanity. We believe that creative expression can ease suffering, foster emotional resilience, and restore the spirit. Our vision is to make healing arts an integral part of hospital culture—where every patient feels seen, every caregiver feels supported, and every moment holds the possibility of beauty.
